ABOUT  Wayne Robotics

K-9's design this year was centered around loading a rocket with rocks in a short and efficient amount of time for a greater sum of points. We achieved this by making our own claw to pick up the desired rocks and place them in our hopper. The hopper acts as a storage unit for the rocks until we can unload them into the rocket, we also use the hopper as a method of releasing them as well. We use the claw to pick up rocks, close the rocket door, break emergency tower lasers, and supply the towers.

About us:

Wayne Robotics started in the Fall of 2016 and is the first team from Wayne in a couple of years. The team consists of four members: Ethan, Tori, Wilson, and Jeremiah as well as the team mentor: Mr. Ziegler. Mr. Ziegler has a distinct background with robotics and has been able to help the team prosper when building K-9. All team members are first time competitors and plan on achieving goals they have set forth for the robotics program.
